Building the Climate Emergency Mode

Are you interested in leading your community into responding to climate change on the emergency footing we know is called for?

Are you an individual or a group working on climate change and want to collaborate together on how we can support transforming the climate response onto an emergency footing (which as noted elsewhere is quite different from a panic footing: the last thing emergency service response models do is call for panic, right?!)?

An encouraging new document from Margaret Keith Salomon PhD (The Climate Mobilisation) as well as Australian Philip Sutton (Climate Code Red) and others may just be our roadmap. In particular it sets out ways we can be with and act as if there is the sort of "long emergency" experienced in wartime, analagous to the threat posed by the next decade on climate change, specifically identifying and setting out a pathway for departure from "climate gradualism".
