Samantha Mella is a co-founder and Director of Pilbara Solar Pty Ltd. Pilbara Solar is working to develop renewable energy projects with a local solar industry with Indigenous equity in the Pilbara region on WA. Sam is unequivocal that Australia will become a global energy super power in era of decarbonization. She is a long-time observer of the evolution of cross-border electricity around the world.
Sam was the Project Leader and co-author of the prefeasibility study titled “Evaluating the potential to export Pilbara Solar to the proposed ASEAN grid via a subsea high voltage direct current (HVDC) interconnector.”. This visionary work, funded by the Pilbara Development Commission, explores the RE export concept. |
