Harrison CallenUniversity of Newcastle
Harrison is an environmental engineering student in his penultimate year of study at the University of Newcastle. His passion for the environment came from volunteering at the local community garden throughout high school and this passion has more recently taken him to Indonesian Borneo, where he spent two weeks looking at large scale remediation of mined land.
Harrison also works as an engineering student ambassador, travelling around northern nsw to visit schools and expo's where he advises prospective students on pathways to university and what degrees are offered. Outside of this role he works as a geotechnician and a high school tutor for maths and science subjects. Harrison's plans are to finish his degree in 2020 and move onto further research in the fields of environmental management/remediation.
